Hi, I’m Craig Stewart and welcome to my online portfolio. I grew up in Dollar, a small town in Central Scotland and went to Alva Academy. After school I studied Journalism studies at the University of Stirling, recently graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree. I’m now looking to start my full-time professional career and take advantage of any opportunities that fall my way by working hard to reach my full potential.
My experience is spread across journalism, social media, public relations, communications and marketing. I have worked at the Glasgow European Championships in 2018 for the Championship News Service (CNS) covering the track cycling at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. I have also volunteered at the 2014 Gleneagles Ryder Cup.
I currently work at Muckhart Golf Club as an Operations Assistant and Social Media Administrator. I have experience in marketing as a Student Brand Ambassador for Amazon and have ran multiple social media campaigns for marketing company, Seed. I’m an avid football supporter and enjoy watching almost all sports. I love to travel and take in different cultures as well as socialising with friends and family.
I am passionate about producing captivating and informative multimedia news from national to localised stories on topics across the board. I have great people skills and feel I would be a great fit for public relations/communications roles. I have worked hard to gain a vast amount of skills in different areas in order to adapt and prosper in a variety of job roles.
