People’s Postcode Lottery: Communications Assistant

My role at People’s Postcode Lottery encompassed Internal, Corporate, Charities and Winners communications.

I’ve written and distributed press releases which have been published by over 100 media outlets across Great Britain. I’ve led on internal communications for the weekly business newsletter, EH2 and the company Intranet, LotteryNet.

I’ve supported the Marketing and TV departments during a TV Commercial partnership with ITV. The finished project had a TV commercial airing each evening in December for 24 days, broadcasted on ITV and STV in a primetime slot. The Christmas Countdown project featured 24 different charities airing on seperate evenings from the 1st to the 24th December. The 60 second Adverts also included an ITV competition from a host of TV celebrities.

Muckhart Golf Club: Operations Assistant & Social Media Admin

My role at Muckhart Golf Club was primarily organising course scheduling over 3 courses and operating the tee-booking system within the Professional Shop. Independently running golf operations and retail sales, working closely with the Sales & Operations Manager, Club Secretary and Club Treasurer.

The shop was ran independently by either myself or the Sales and Operations Manager, aside from corporate events and large-field open competitions.

  • Selling and processing visitor and party bookings via phone, email, online and face-to-face.
  • Organising play across three 9-hole courses, from casual members, visitors, parties and men and ladies club competitions.
  • Selling golf equipment, clothing and merchandise in-store and taking customer orders using retailer website accounts.
  • Creating club competitions using the ClubV1 management system, closing competitions, finalising results and distributing prize money.
  • Dealing with customer concerns and complaints.
  • Constructing club communications distributed via email informing members of the latest club news and course information.
  • Working closely with the head greenkeeper and his staff regarding course conditions and information.
  • Processing membership invoices and taking payment for deposits, catering and rental club cars.
  • Organising rental club cars, trolleys and buggies
  • Working with an independent catering company to arrange catering orders and
  • Stock-taking and processing using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and working with club treasurer.
  • Running club social media platforms to inform members and visitors of club news, golfing and product offers, social events, competitions, course conditions, promotional content.
  • Creating multi-media content which is published to social media, increasing reach and post interactions.
